You can find us at Number 190 in the Shyam Sadan building. We are located near C P Tank on Thakurdwar Road, right at the Kumartukda Corner in Girgaon East. P. K. Jain Handicrafts has been in this spot for a long time. The building is quite old, so it has a lot of character, though the stairs can be a bit of a climb. Our rooms are packed with various handcrafted items we’ve collected. It’s not a modern warehouse at all. It’s more like a series of small rooms filled with things from floor to ceiling. There’s always a bit of dust around, no matter how much we clean. We aren't a big company with lots of departments. It’s just a handful of us managing the orders and talking to the craftsmen. The neighborhood is very traditional and always noisy with the sounds of Mumbai. We don't have a big marketing budget or fancy brochures. People mostly find us by walking past or hearing about us from someone else. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy on the desks, and we have to spend a whole afternoon just sorting things out. We take our time with things and don't like to rush. It’s a bit of an old-school way of working, but it’s what we know. We just stay here in Girgaon and keep the business going year after year. It’s just how things are for us.
