P. J. Impex Trader

Running P. J. Impex Trader from the 5th floor of Rambha Apartment is a bit of a squeeze. We are located on Khokhani Lane, right off R. B. Mehta Road in Ghatkopar East. It is a busy part of the city, and our flat is usually full of samples and folders. The lift in this building is quite old and sometimes it stops working, so I end up climbing the stairs a lot. We do a bit of everything in the trading world. My desk is pushed up against the window so I can see the traffic below while I am making calls. It is not a formal office with cubicles. We just have a few tables and some chairs for when people come over to discuss business. Ghatkopar is a good place to be because we are close to the station. Most of our work is done through the phone and computer. We do not have a warehouse here, just a lot of catalogs and some small stock items in the cupboards. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the neighbors and the street sounds, but we are used to it by now. It is just me and a helper who takes care of the deliveries and the bank work. We have been in Flat No. 15 for several years. It is a simple life of buying and selling and keeping track of the market prices as they change. We just get on with it.
