We are located on the third floor of the Oshiwara Industrial Center, right across from the bus depot in Goregaon West. Being on the third floor means we get a lot of steps in every day, especially when the lift is acting up or busy with other people moving goods. The Link Road outside is always humming with traffic and the sound of the buses coming and going across the street. Inside our space, it’s mostly just boxes and paperwork. We deal with a lot of exports, so there is always some logistics problem to solve or a container that needs to be tracked down. It can be quite stressful when things are moving fast, and the office gets a bit messy with files everywhere. We don’t have those sleek modern interiors you see in magazines. It’s a practical industrial space with metal desks and some old chairs. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking lists to make sure everything is where it should be. The view from the window is just more industrial buildings and the road, but it feels like the heart of the action here in Goregaon. When the day is finally over, we usually head down and grab a quick snack from one of the vendors near the bus stand. It’s just a busy, dusty, working-class office where we try to keep things moving despite the heat and the noise.
