Orion Traders

We are located on the fourth floor of Ready Money Terrace, which is one of those old Mumbai buildings with a lot of character. Being at Worli Naka means we are right in the thick of things. Dr. Annie Besant Road is always packed with cars, and the sound of horns is basically our background music at Orion Traders. The office is a bit cramped because we have so many files and samples everywhere, but we know where everything is. We don’t really go in for the modern, minimalist look. It’s more of a place where people are actually working hard. We’ve got a small team, and most of us have been here for years. We know each other’s families and what everyone likes to eat for lunch. In the monsoon, the walls get a bit damp and we have to move some boxes around, but that’s just part of living in Mumbai. We spend most of our time on the phone or typing away on some pretty old computers. It’s not a glamorous life, but trading keeps us busy. We see all sorts of people coming through Worli Naka every day. Sometimes we take a walk down the street just to get some air, even if the air is mostly exhaust fumes. It’s our little corner of the city. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It’s a practical way to run a business.
