Orient Casing Company

Our shop, Orient Casing Company, is situated at 2/1 Shastri Nagar in Santacruz West. We are right by the Linking Road extension, so it’s always lively outside. We deal with various types of casings, and it’s a job that requires a lot of attention to detail. The workshop is usually a bit damp and smells like the materials we use. It’s not the kind of place you’d go to wear a nice outfit. We have a few long tables and a lot of basins for cleaning and sorting. It’s a traditional way of doing things, and we haven't changed much over the years. We have a small staff of people who are used to the hard work. Sometimes it’s a bit of a struggle to get everything done when a large order comes in suddenly. We just roll up our sleeves and get on with it. Santacruz is a busy area, and we’ve been part of this community for a long time. We know the other shop owners on the block and often chat during the quiet hours. The office is just a tiny corner with a ledger and some pens. We don't need much more than that. It’s a basic business, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. We just try to do a decent job every day and make sure the orders are right when we send them out to everyone.
