Opera Clothing Private Limited is located over in Lower Parel West. Our unit is number 2 A/2 inside the Shah & Nahar Industrial Estate on SJ Marg. If you know Lower Parel, you know how packed it gets, especially with the trains and the narrow streets. The industrial estate has a lot of history and you can feel it in the walls and the old staircases. We spend our time inside this unit working through piles of clothes. It’s a busy atmosphere with people moving boxes and checking tags. The lights are bright and the space is used as efficiently as we can manage. Lower Parel is always changing, with new glass buildings going up near these old estates, but inside our unit, things stay pretty much the same. We have a small team and everyone knows their role. We don't have time for fancy corporate talk or long-winded descriptions of what we do. We just make sure the garments are ready. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up carrying things up the stairs, which is a bit of a workout. It’s just the way it is working in an old Mumbai industrial area. We like it here because everything is close by, even if it is a bit cramped. We keep our heads down and focus on the orders. It’s a simple, hardworking life at Opera Clothing. We don't ask for much more than a smooth day.
