Om Deep Dry Fruits

Om Deep Dry Fruits is our small shop in Andheri East. We are located at Shop No 4 in Mathuria Apartment, right by the Market Yard. Being near the market means there is always a lot of activity and trucks unloading nearby. We spend a lot of our time weighing out different dry fruits and putting them into bags. The shop is filled with the smell of almonds and cashews. It is a simple place with wooden shelves lining the walls. We do not have fancy glass displays, just the regular jars and containers. Mathuria Apartment is an older building, and we’ve been in this unit for a while. The traffic in Andheri East can be a real pain, so sometimes our suppliers are late getting to the Market Yard. We just sit on our stools and wait, or chat with the neighbors until the stock arrives. It is a quiet kind of work most of the time, just us and the customers who come in looking for specific things. We have a small desk where we keep the accounts. Nothing is digital here; we still use the old paper ledgers for everything. It is just a basic way of doing business, and it works for us. We have a calendar on the wall from three years ago that we never took down because we liked the picture. That is just the kind of place this is. We try to sweep the floor every hour or so.
