Getting to the office on the second floor of Solitaire Corporate Park is always a bit of a trek in the mornings. Being in Building No. 2 means we are right in the thick of things here at Chakala. The Andheri Ghatkopar Link Road is never quiet, and you can hear the hum of the city even when the windows are shut tight. We’ve got a decent setup here on Har Govind Marg, though it gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of samples coming in. Most days it’s just the sound of keyboards clicking and the coffee machine running in the corner. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at spreadsheets. It isn't the most exciting work, but it pays the bills and keeps the lights on. Since we are in such a busy part of Andheri East, there is always someone coming or going. The lift is often slow, so some of us just take the stairs to the second floor if we aren't carrying too much. We don't have a big fancy reception area or anything like that, just a door with the company name on it. If you walk in, you’ll probably see someone sorting through files or talking to a vendor. It’s just how we operate, focused on getting the work done and moving on to the next thing. We usually keep some snacks in the drawer for when the afternoon hunger hits.
