Only One Fashions

We've been here at the S.M Banaji Building for a while now. If you know Forjett Street, we are right there below the State Bank of India. It’s a busy spot in Mumbai, always something happening outside. Only One Fashions is basically just us doing our daily work with the clothes and making sure everything is in its place. Most days it’s just keeping track of what comes in and what goes out. The shop isn't huge, but it works for what we do. People stop by after they finish their banking upstairs or while they are walking through the neighborhood. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded on the street, especially during the middle of the day. We don’t really do fancy stuff here. It is just about having things ready when people ask. Working in building number one has its quirks, like the old walls and the way the light comes in during the afternoon. We spend a lot of time organizing the racks. It’s mostly routine. Open the doors, tidy up, talk to a few regulars, and close up when the sun goes down. Mumbai is fast, but inside here, things move at our own pace. We've seen the street change quite a bit over the years. We just keep our heads down and handle the shop business as it comes. It's a simple life on Forjett Street, really. Being at number 49 means we see everyone passing through toward the main roads. We usually start the morning with some tea and look over the inventory. There is always a box to open or a shelf to straighten out. We don't try to be something we aren't. Just a local place.
