Ocean Catch

Up here in Powai at room 501, we spend most of our time thinking about fish and the sea. It is a bit different being in a building like this, but this is where we run things from. Most mornings start early because that is just how it goes when you are dealing with the catch of the day. You can often find someone here checking the lists or calling up the docks to see what came in with the boats. It is not always easy work, and sometimes the weather messes with the schedules, but we manage. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees, just a few of us who know the business and like what we do. The office isn't much to look at, just some desks and a couple of old chairs, but it serves us well. We get people calling in from all over the area asking what we have available. Sometimes we have to tell them to wait a day if the supplies are low. Dealing with fresh products means you are always on your toes and you can't really plan too far ahead. We like being in Powai, though the traffic downstairs can be a real headache during the evening rush. It is a busy life, but it keeps us moving and we have built a decent routine over the months. There are days when everything is calm, and others where we don't even have time to eat.
