We are over at the Bombay Cotton Mill Estate, specifically at 16 A on the first floor near Hakoba Gate in Kalachowki. This area has a real industrial feel to it, which makes sense given the history of the mills. Our space is wide and has those big windows you often see in older factory buildings. It gets a lot of light during the day, which helps with the work. The floor is concrete and has a few cracks here and there, but it’s sturdy. We have a lot of space to move around, but we’ve filled most of it with racks and tables. It can get a bit echoey when there aren't many people around. We mostly stay focused on the daily tasks of sorting and checking the items. The estate itself is always busy with people moving goods back and forth. We’ve been here long enough that we know the security guards and the other tenants by name. It’s a straightforward environment without any modern frills. We have a small table in the corner where we sit for breaks. Most of the time, the air is filled with the smell of new fabric. It’s a honest place to work, and we like being part of the old mill area. It’s not fancy, but it’s home for the business. There is always a truck being loaded downstairs, so there is plenty of noise, but it feels right for what we do here.
