Nishma Industries

You can find Nishma Industries over at Unit No 1 in the Samrat Mills Compound. It is right on LBS Marg in Vikroli West, which means there is never a quiet moment with all the trucks and cars passing by outside. The compound itself is an old industrial area, and our unit is one of the first ones you see when you turn in. It has got high ceilings and those big metal doors that are heavy to pull open every morning. Inside, it is mostly just the machinery and some workspace for the staff to move around. We do not have fancy carpets or anything like that, just concrete floors and sturdy tables. The dust from the road gets in sometimes, so we spend a lot of time cleaning off the surfaces. It gets quite loud when the machines are running, so we usually have to shout a bit to be heard over the noise. We have got a small desk near the front where we keep the ledger and the phone. Lunch is usually whatever someone brought from home in their tiffin, eaten quickly before we get back to the floor. LBS Marg is a busy place, and being in Vikroli means we are close to everything, but the traffic can be a real pain in the evening. We just focus on the orders we have to fill. It is hard work, and the building shows its age.
