New Jumbo Stores is right here at Shop No 1 in Ratilal Chawl. We are located in the S V R Chuna Bhatti area, specifically within the GIDC Estate Phase II. If you are looking for a landmark, we are directly opposite the Union Bank, which makes it pretty easy for most people to find us. Being in a chawl means there is always a lot of activity right outside the door. People are coming and going all day long. The shop itself is packed with all sorts of things because we try to keep what people need on hand. It’s a bit tight inside sometimes when we get a lot of stock delivered, but we manage to keep it sorted. Working in the GIDC estate means we see a lot of people who work in the nearby factories and offices. It’s a very industrial kind of neighborhood, so there’s always a bit of dust and the sound of traffic. We open up early in the morning and stay until things quiet down in the evening. It’s a steady kind of life. We don’t go in for anything flashy. We just have our shelves, our counter, and the items we sell. Across the street, the bank always has people lined up, and we watch the world go by from our front door. It’s just a normal shop in a busy part of town, and we’ve been part of this community for years. People know they can find us here six days a week without fail.
