Nathubhai Coovergi & Sons

Our office is located at 417, Vasant Nivas, up on the 3rd floor. We are on Bhandaji Cross Road, No. 10, in the Matuya area. Nathubhai Coovergi & Sons is an old name, and we’ve been around for a long time. The building is one of those older ones where everyone knows each other’s business. We don't have a big lobby or an elevator that always works, so we get our exercise on the stairs. Our work is pretty straightforward. We handle trade and various goods, mostly following the traditions started by the elders in the family. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the old files and samples laying around. We don’t bother with fancy computers if the old ones still work. People come to see us because they trust the name. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and talking through orders with regular customers. It is not a fast-paced corporate environment; things take the time they take. We like the personal touch. If someone calls, they are usually talking to one of the family or a staff member who has been here for twenty years. It is honest, steady work in a neighborhood we love. We don’t need much more than that. The windows look out over the street, and we can see the daily bustle of Matuya while we work on our ledgers and drink our morning chai.
