Nandu Dry Fruit Stores

If you walk through the market area in Chembur, you’ll find us at Plot No 28/B, Shop No 19. Nandu Dry Fruit Stores is a small place, really. We’ve got shelves lined with bags and jars, mostly filled with cashews, almonds, and whatever else is in season. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand, but it works for us. My family has been running things here for a long time. We know most of the regular faces who stop by after their grocery shopping. Sada can be a loud area, but we’re used to the noise by now. We spend a lot of our time just weighing things out and chatting with people. We don't have a website or any fancy social media stuff. It’s just the shop and the stuff we sell. We try to keep the bins full and the floors swept, though dust always finds its way in from the street. Some people come in looking for specific things for festivals, and others just want a small snack. We treat everyone the same, really. It’s hard work being on your feet all day, but it’s what we know. We aren't trying to become a huge chain or anything. We just want to keep the shop running well and make sure the quality is okay. It’s a simple business in a busy part of Chembur.
