Naina Stores

Naina Stores is located at Shop No 2 in the Capricon Building. We are in Malad West, quite close to St Joseph School. If you’re walking by when the school lets out, it gets very crowded on the sidewalk. Our shop is a pretty standard neighborhood store. We have shelves packed with all sorts of things people need every day. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to fit as much stock as possible on the racks. You might have to squeeze past a crate of soda or a stack of biscuits to get to the back. We don't have a computer system for everything, so we still write some things down in a notebook. It’s just how we’ve always done it. The lights flicker a bit sometimes, but we’ve got used to it. We know most of the people who come in by their first names because they live just down the street. It’s a simple business, selling groceries and household items to the locals. We open early and stay open until fairly late. Sometimes we run out of bread or milk before the next delivery comes, but that’s just life in a small shop. We don’t try to be like those big supermarkets. We just keep our doors open and help whoever walks in, even if the floor needs a sweep.
