Nafees Fashions

Nafees Fashions is situated at G-2 in the Sea Beach View building on Kadeshwari Road in Bandra West. Being this close to the water means there’s often a bit of a salty breeze coming through, though the humidity can be a real pain for the fabrics sometimes. Bandra is a lively place, and our little corner is no different. We spend our days surrounded by patterns and measuring tapes. It’s not a large showroom or anything like that; it’s more of a working space where the actual sewing and cutting happen. We get a mix of people dropping by, some regulars from the neighborhood and others who just happened to be walking by the beach. The space is filled with the hum of a few machines and the sound of scissors cutting through cloth. We try to keep things organized, but when we’re busy, there are piles of stuff everywhere. It feels like a real workshop. We’ve been in this building for quite a while now and have seen the area change a lot. The street outside can get pretty loud with traffic and people, but inside we just focus on the garments we’re putting together. We don’t use any fancy systems. We just use what we know and try to get the fit right for whoever is waiting for their clothes. It’s simple, honest work that we do right here by the sea. It’s been our way for a long time and we’re okay with that.
