N P Manek Exports (India)

Our office is tucked away in the Jolly Centre on Tilak Road in Santacruz West. If you know the area, you know it gets quite crowded around here during the day. We have been operating out of room 286 for some time. It's mostly paperwork and coordinating things over the phone. Being an export business means we are often dealing with schedules and making sure things are moving where they need to go. The office isn't anything special to look at, just desks, some filing cabinets, and the usual computer setup. We spend a lot of time talking to transport people and checking on shipments. Santacruz is a busy place to work, there is always something happening on the street downstairs. We usually start quite early to get a jump on the day. Sometimes the elevators in the building are slow, so we end up taking the stairs. It’s just a small team of us here. We don't have any big corporate meetings or anything like that. We just focus on getting the exports handled properly so there are no delays. Some days are a bit chaotic when everything seems to happen at once, but that's just how the export trade goes. We've got piles of ledgers and documents everywhere. It’s a practical workspace for people who just want to get the job done and go home at the end of the day. It’s just us doing our thing.
