Mody & Company

Mody & Company has its spot at 265 Shamaldas Gandhi Marg, though most people still just call it Princess Street. It’s one of those parts of Mumbai that feels like it hasn’t changed in decades, except for maybe more cars. Our office is in an old building with high ceilings and those big windows that let in a lot of dust. We’ve been around here for quite a while, and the walls are covered with old calendars and shelves that have seen better days. We don't go in for anything modern or flashy. The floor is a bit uneven, and the wooden desks have scratches from years of use. We handle various goods, mostly just making sure our regular customers get what they need when they need it. It’s a family-run kind of vibe, where things happen at a certain pace. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just chatting with people who drop by for a bit of business. Princess Street is always crowded, so getting anything delivered is always a bit of a headache, but we manage. We aren’t a huge corporation with fancy slogans. It’s just us, working in a space that feels comfortable and familiar. We know where everything is, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. It's just how we've always done things here, and it seems to work out well enough for everyone involved.
