Modern Bags

Our little place is in Room Number 1, over in the K-Sector of Cheeta Camp here in Mumbai. If you know the A-1 Line, that is exactly where we are. It is a small space, but we manage to fit a lot of bags in here. Mumbai is always busy and Cheeta Camp is no different, there is always someone passing by the door at all hours. We have been here for quite some time now, just doing our thing. Most of the time it is just us sitting among piles of backpacks and school bags, waiting for the afternoon rush. The shop gets a bit hot in the summer because the ceiling is low, but we have a small fan that helps a bit. When the rains come, we have to be careful about the water coming near the door, so we keep things off the floor as much as possible. It is not a fancy showroom with glass cases or anything like that. It is just a regular shop where people come when they need a bag that lasts. We see kids going to school and workers needing something tough for their tools. We don't do much advertising, mostly it is just people who live nearby telling their friends about us. It is a simple life and we are happy to be part of this neighborhood. Sometimes the street gets really narrow with all the carts, but that is just how it is.
