You can find us at Shanti Industrial Estate on Sarojni Naidu Road in Mulund West. We have units 220 and 221. It’s a pretty standard industrial building. We’ve been operating out of here for quite a while now. The stairs are a bit steep, so we usually take the freight elevator if it’s working. We deal with garments mostly. The rooms are filled with rolls of fabric and half-finished samples. It’s not a showroom, just a place where the actual work happens. Sometimes the noise from the workshop next door is a bit much, but you get used to it after a week. We have a couple of old desks and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. We don’t go for anything fancy. The tea stall downstairs is where we spend most of our breaks. It’s a good spot to catch up with the other people in the estate. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just us handling the orders and making sure things get packed right. Sometimes we make mistakes with the paperwork, but we fix them as soon as we notice. It’s a very grounded way to work. We just show up every morning, unlock the shutters, and get started. Mulund is a good area to be in, even if the traffic on the main road is a mess. We usually close up around six or seven.
