We are based in Flat 602 on the sixth floor of the Kamdhenu building. It’s right across from Food Inn Restaurant in the Lokhandwala Complex. If you know Andheri, you know this area is always packed. Finding parking is a total nightmare most days. Our space is more like an apartment that we turned into a workspace. It feels a bit cramped when we have a lot of samples lying around. We do a lot of design work and sorting here. There’s always someone on the phone talking to a supplier or a customer. We have a small balcony where we keep some plants, but they are looking a bit dry lately because we forget to water them. It’s a busy environment. We don’t have a receptionist, so if the bell rings, whoever is closest to the door goes to open it. We’ve been in Lokhandwala for years and we like the energy of the place. There’s always a place to grab a quick snack nearby. Inside, the walls have some sketches pinned up and there are bits of thread all over the carpet. It’s just how it is when you’re working with textiles. We don’t try to act like we’re some huge company. We’re just a small group of people trying to make things that look decent. It’s hard work, but we’re used to it. The lift in the building sometimes makes a weird clunking sound.
