Minoo Jokhi

I am located in Colaba, at 122/A in the Kismat Building. My place is on the first floor, which gives a decent view of the area near the BPT Clock Tower. We are right by Sassoon Dock, so you can always tell when the fishing boats have come in by the activity on the streets and the specific scent of the sea that hangs in the air. Colaba is an old part of Mumbai, and this building reflects that history. The entrance is a bit tucked away, but once you find the clock tower, you are pretty much there. The office is just a few rooms where I do my work and meet with people. It is not a corporate environment at all. There are bookshelves filled with all sorts of things and a desk that usually has a few coffee mugs on it. The windows are large and let in a lot of the coastal light, though they also let in the humidity. I have lived and worked in this area for a long time, so I am used to the sounds of the docks and the tourists walking towards the causeway. It is a comfortable space that feels more like a study than a formal office. People who visit usually comment on how quiet it feels compared to the busy market streets just a few blocks away. It is just a simple, quiet spot in a very old part of town.
