You have to head up to the mezzanine floor of Mubarak Manzil to find us. We are in shop number 13. It’s a bit of a climb, but not too bad. Being on Marol Church Road in Andheri East means there is never a quiet moment outside. The sounds of rickshaws and people walking by are constant. The shop itself is pretty small, and I’ve filled almost every inch of it with monitors, keyboards, and tangled power cords. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. I’ve been working out of this spot for a while, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. There’s a specific smell of solder and old electronics that hits you when you walk in. I don’t mind it; it smells like work to me. Most people come here because they’re in a hurry and need something fixed fast. Andheri East is that kind of place—everyone is always moving. I keep a small radio playing in the background to drown out some of the street noise. The light on the mezzanine isn't the best, so I use a lot of lamps to see what I’m doing with the tiny screws inside a phone or a laptop. It’s a cramped space, but it’s mine. I don't have any staff, so if the door is locked, I’ve probably just stepped out for a minute to get some tea or parts.
