If you head down to Mandvi Koliwada and look for Raghunath Maharaj Street, you’ll find us eventually. It’s a bit of a maze around here with all the narrow lanes and people carrying bundles of goods. Our place, M.Hastimal Textiles (India) Pvt. Ltd., is at Shop No.5 inside the Rehmat Building. The address says 51, Raghunath Maharaj Street, which is right near Mussafir Khanna. It’s always loud outside with the handcarts and the shouting of the loaders. The building itself is old, with that specific smell of stone and history that you only get in this part of the city. We have shelves stacked high with different fabrics, and sometimes it feels like there’s barely enough room to turn around. We’ve had to organize things very carefully to make it all fit. The lights inside are a bit dim compared to the bright sun outside, but it keeps the place a bit cooler. We see all kinds of people walking past the shop every day. Some are regular customers who have been coming for decades, and others are just lost trying to find their way through the market. It’s a busy spot, and we’re usually tied up with orders and paperwork from the moment we open the shutters. It isn't a fancy showroom, just a working shop where we handle our daily business in the middle of the chaos.
