Mestry Lic Advisor

I work out of this office at 19/772 in the Pandurang Industrial Estate. It’s right there in Andheri, and most people know us because we are directly opposite the Srigajamukh housing society. Being an LIC advisor means I spend a lot of my time looking at papers and forms. It is not the most exciting job in the world, but people need their insurance sorted out. My space here is simple. I have a desk, a couple of chairs for when people come to visit, and stacks of files that I try my best to keep organized. The industrial estate is always full of activity. There is always someone moving something or a tempo parked in the way. It makes the day go by fast. I usually get in early before the heat starts to pick up. People from the CHS across the road often drop in just to ask a quick question about their policies or to drop off a cheque. I don’t go for any of that high-pressure sales stuff. I just tell them what the plans are and let them decide. It feels more honest that way. Sometimes we sit and have tea while talking about family stuff before even getting to the insurance part. It is just how things work around here. The office isn't fancy, but it gets the job done and it's easy for people to find me.
