Bathija Zip House

Down here at No. 235 Yusuf Meher Ali Road, things are always moving fast. We are right near Nagdevi Street and the Masjid Bunder area, which stays crowded from dawn to dusk. Our shop, Bathija Zip House, is where we handle all sorts of zippers. It’s a small space packed with different types and colors. You walk in and see stacks of boxes everywhere. Sometimes it's hard to find a specific one quickly, but we usually know where everything is tucked away. It’s dusty work and the noise from the street never really stops. People come in looking for a single replacement zip or they want to buy in bulk for their own small workshops. We don't have a big team or a fancy office. It’s just us behind the counter. We deal with suppliers and customers all day long. The area around Yusuf Meher Ali Road near Nagdevi Street is famous for these kinds of things, so we fit right in. We’ve seen many businesses come and go, but we just keep doing what we do. Our hands are usually busy sorting through stock or writing out bills on small pads of paper. It’s a practical life.
