If you look for No. 37/39 on Bhandari Street, that’s where you’ll find us. We are very close to Koli Marg and the Koli Marg Masjid here in Bandar. Being a fish supplier means our day starts much earlier than most people. We are usually here when it’s still dark outside, getting things ready for the morning rush. The street is very narrow and can get quite crowded with carts and people. There is always the smell of the sea and the fish around here, which is just part of the job at Sai Fish Supplier. We have a lot of crates stacked up and we spend a lot of time on our feet. The floors are almost always wet, so we have to wear heavy boots. It’s a noisy, busy place with people shouting and bargaining all the time. The mosque nearby is a good landmark for people trying to find the shop. We don't have a fancy office; it’s mostly just the space for the fish and a small corner where we keep our logs. We’ve been in this part of Bandar for a long time, and we know most of the other suppliers on the street. It’s hard work and the hours are long, but it’s a living. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the deliveries go out on time. The morning light usually finds us halfway through our work already, and the street starts getting louder.
