Mark Plastics

We’ve got our spot at Plot No.14 in Vicky Apartment. It’s right in the middle of Worli, which means it’s always a bit of a squeeze getting vehicles in and out of here. This isn’t a massive industrial park or anything like that, just a workspace tucked into the apartment grounds. We’ve been handling plastic goods here for a good while now. The space is filled with stacks of crates and bags of raw material that we have to step around every day. It gets pretty hot in the summer because the ventilation isn't the best, but we have a couple of big fans that we keep running. We usually have the radio playing in the background to drown out some of the traffic noise from the Worli streets. It’s mostly just us sorting through orders and making sure the pieces are cut or molded right. We don’t have a website or any of that stuff; most people just know we’re here or they get our name from someone else in the neighborhood. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and writing down what needs to be ordered for next week. It’s a lot of manual work and hands-on management. We’re just regular folks trying to make the most of the space we have. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when a big shipment comes in, but we eventually get it all put away in the right bins and continue on.
