Marisa International

Marisa International is tucked away in the Krishna Krupa building on Shankar Lane. Kandivali West is a really crowded part of Mumbai, so finding parking around 52/C is always a bit of a nightmare. Our office isn't very large, but we make it work with what we have. There are desks squeezed together and a lot of filing cabinets. We do a lot of coordinating over the phone all day. It gets loud when everyone is talking at once. Shankar Lane has changed a lot over the years, but we have stayed in the same spot. People usually find us by looking for the Krishna Krupa signage. We handle international stuff, which means we are often dealing with different time zones. Sometimes someone has to stay late to finish a call. It’s just the way it is in Mumbai. The office has that old-school feel where you know where everything is even if it looks a bit messy to an outsider. We don't spend much on fancy furniture because we're too busy with the work itself. Most of the staff takes the train to work, so we're all used to the commute. It’s a practical place for practical people. We drink a lot of tea and try to stay on top of the orders. The monsoon season is the hardest because the rain hits the windows so hard you can barely hear yourself think. We keep some umbrellas by the door for anyone who needs one.
