Mangesh General Store

We have our small store in Kamkar Chawl, situated in Andheri East. We are directly opposite Sneha S and quite near the local DMC office. This is a very traditional general store that serves the people living in the chawl and the surrounding lanes. We sell all the basic things you might need suddenly, like packets of biscuits, milk, eggs, or washing powder. The shop is quite small, so we have to use every bit of space from the floor to the ceiling to store our goods. It’s a bit of a tight fit when the morning milk delivery comes in and we have crates stacked up everywhere. We have been here for a long time, and we know our customers very well. Many of them have been buying from us since they were children. It’s a friendly place where people stop to talk about their day while they wait for their change. We open early in the morning, usually before most people are awake, to get things ready for the day. The work is constant but we don't mind it. We don't use any fancy technology to run the place. We just know where everything is and what the prices are. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living. We just try to be a reliable part of the neighborhood for everyone who lives nearby.
