Our office is in an old building that has seen a lot of years. We don't have fancy lights or modern art on the walls. It’s mostly just wooden shelves and old files that have been sitting there for a while. We spend our days talking to traders and making sure our stock is moving. It’s a family-style environment where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We don't bother with corporate titles or long meetings. If something needs to be done, someone just does it. The floor is often covered in a bit of dust from the bags being moved around downstairs. We’ve been on Kazi Sayed Street for a long time, and we’ve seen the market change, but our way of doing things stays mostly the same. It’s about being present and keeping your word. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the prices of things. When the day is over, we lock up the heavy doors and head home. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living in a very busy part of Mumbai.
