Mangal Bags is tucked away in the Modern Mill Compound, right near the Parel Street Depot on Sanira Marg. It’s an old area with a lot of history, and you can feel it in the buildings around here. Being near the depot means it’s always loud with the sound of buses and people rushing around. Our space at 31/62 is full of character, or at least that’s what we call the old pipes and the creaky windows. We spend our days surrounded by rolls of material and the hum of the sewing machines. It isn't the cleanest environment because of all the lint, but we try our best. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room. Usually, if you walk in, you’ll find one of us hunched over a workbench. The commute to Parel can be tough, but we’ve grown used to it over the years. We take our lunches together when we can, usually just something quick from the nearby stalls. There’s no big strategy here. We just take the orders as they come and try to get them finished on time. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it ourselves. That is just how it goes in a place like this. We appreciate the regulars who have been coming to us for years. It’s a neighborhood business through and through, and we just keep on going day by day.
