It’s not a modern, glass-and-steel building. It’s an older style shop that’s been around for a while. We have large counters where we can spread out the fabric so people can see the patterns. Silk is a delicate thing, so we have to be careful with how we store it. We spend our mornings dusting and making sure everything is neatly folded. SV Road can be quite loud with the horns and the people, but we’re used to it. We don’t use any marketing tricks to get people in. Most of our customers have been coming to us for years, or they saw the silk from across the road while they were at the jewelers. We just try to be helpful and show what we have in stock.
