Vivita

We are located inside Natraj Market at shop number 321. It’s a bit of a maze in here sometimes, especially on the weekends when everyone is out shopping on S. V Road in Malad (W). Vivita is just a small space, really, but we manage to fit everything we need inside. The shelves are packed tight with stock, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer is asking for. It gets pretty loud in the market with all the sellers calling out and people haggling over prices, but you get used to the noise after a few days. We keep a small fan running in the corner to help with the heat, though it mostly just moves the warm air around. The front of the shop is where we display the newest things we’ve got in. Sometimes the neighbors from the other stalls come over to chat or share a snack when things are slow in the afternoon. It’s a tight-knit community in this part of Malad. We’ve seen a lot of shops come and go, but we’ve managed to stay put at 40/44. It’s not the easiest place to keep clean with all the dust from the street, but we do our best every morning before the first customers arrive. It’s a honest day’s work in a very busy part of town, and we like it here well enough.
