A -one Furniture

Our workshop is situated on the ground floor of the A Wing in the Botawala Building. We are right on Sitladevi Temple Road in Mahim West, tucked behind Victoria School. During the day, you can usually hear the sound of the school bell or kids playing during their break while we are busy working with the wood. A-one Furniture is often a bit messy because of all the sawing and sanding. There is always a layer of sawdust on the floor, no matter how many times we try to sweep it up during the shift. We have been in this same building for many years. The walls could probably use some new paint, but we are usually too occupied with furniture orders to think about decorating. People walking to the temple often stop and peek inside to see what we are currently building. It is a bit of a tight space with all the timber planks and tools spread around the room. We have a couple of old ceiling fans that keep the air moving, which helps during the hotter months. We do not have a fancy showroom with bright lights and mirrors. Most of our items are just stacked up or being finished right there on the floor. It is honest, hard work. We start our day early and usually stop when the light gets too dim to see our work properly.
