Ravi Furniture And Painting is my small workshop located in Shakti Nagar. It is very close to the Amba Mata Mandir in the Behram Baugh area of Jogeshwari West. If you walk past, you can usually smell the wood polish or the paint. It is a dusty place because of all the sawing and sanding we do. I have been working here for a long time, fixing up old chairs or making new cabinets for people in the neighborhood. Jogeshwari West is a crowded part of town, so there are always people stopping by to ask about repairs. I don't have a showroom with fancy lights. It is just a workspace with tools hanging on the walls and wood stacked up in the corners. My clothes usually have some paint stains on them by the end of the day. We also go out to people's houses to do painting work when they need a fresh coat on their walls. It is physical work and it can be quite tiring, especially in the heat. My team is small and we just focus on getting the finish right. People know me by name around here because I’ve been at this spot for so long. It is a simple life, just working with my hands and trying to make things look a bit better. The temple nearby is a good place to sit for a minute when the shop gets too hot.
