Faisal Furniture

Faisal Furniture is basically just us working away in Malad East at Sugra Park. If you walk behind Humera Park in Pathanwadi, you’ll find us in the E Wing, at number 803. It’s not a fancy showroom or anything like that. Most days the floor is covered in wood shavings and there’s a thick smell of polish in the air that stays on your clothes. We spend a lot of time measuring twice and cutting once, or at least trying to. It gets pretty loud when the saws are going, especially in the afternoon when we are trying to finish up a big order. Sometimes the traffic outside on the main road makes it hard to hear anything, but we’re used to it by now. People from around the neighborhood stop by to ask about fixing a chair or getting a cupboard made for their flat. We don't have a big office staff, just a few of us getting our hands dirty and making sure the legs on a table don't wobble. It can get cramped when we have a lot of timber delivered, but we manage to move things around. We’ve been at this spot for a while and the locals know where to find us if they need something made out of wood that actually lasts. It’s just honest work and a lot of sawdust every day.
