Mahavir Metal & Alloys

Our shop is over on Dr. M.G. Mahimtura Marg at 161/3. It is a narrow street but it is full of life and metal shops like ours. We mostly deal in different kinds of metals and alloys. You can find us here six days a week, surrounded by stacks of pipes and sheets. It gets pretty dusty with all the loading and unloading. We don’t have a fancy showroom with lights. It’s just a practical space where we store our inventory and meet our customers. Most of the people we deal with are builders or small manufacturers who need specific materials for their own work. We’ve been in this spot for quite a long time. We know the neighbors and they know us. Sometimes we sit outside on stools when it's quiet and watch the world go by on the Marg. We keep a lot of different sizes in stock because you never know what someone will ask for. If we don’t have it right there, we usually know where to get it fairly quickly. Dealing with alloys can be tricky because of the different types, but we’ve learned a lot over the years just by handling the materials every day. We don't use much technology for the business, just some basic notebooks and a telephone that rings quite a lot most days.
