You can find Ashapura Minechem Ltd. over on Dr. D N Rd. specifically at number 278. We are up on the 3rd floor of the Jeevan Udyog Building. It’s one of those classic buildings that has been around forever. Walking into the lobby feels like stepping back a few years, which is fine by us. We’ve got our office space set up to handle all the mining and chemical stuff we deal with. The 3rd floor is a good height—not too many stairs if the lift is being slow, but high enough to get away from some of the street noise. Dr. D N Rd. is always moving, with people rushing everywhere and vendors set up on the corners. Our office is usually filled with the sound of keyboards and the occasional printer running. We deal with minerals and chemicals, so there’s a lot of technical data we have to keep track of. It’s not the kind of job that ends exactly at five every day, but we don’t mind. We have a kitchen area where we grab coffee and talk about things other than work for a few minutes. The building management keeps things running okay, even if the pipes act up once in a while. Being in such a central location means we are close to everything, which helps when we need to run errands or meet someone. It’s just our daily life here, keeping the records and talking to our suppliers.
