Nexus Alloys & Steels Pvt Ltd is based in Khetwadi 3, which is one of those old-school Mumbai neighborhoods where everything is about metal and hardware. Our office is in a building that’s seen better days, but it’s right in the heart of the action. Khetwadi is full of narrow lanes and shops selling all kinds of steel and alloys, so we’re right where we need to be. The air always smells a bit like industrial grease and metal dust around here. We spend our days dealing with heavy orders and trying to figure out how to get a truck into these tight streets without blocking everyone else. It’s a lot of shouting across the office and making sure the weights and grades of the steel are correct. We don’t have a website that looks like a million bucks or a fancy lobby with a receptionist. It’s usually just us in our work clothes, surrounded by stacks of ledgers and old metal samples. Sometimes the electricity flickers when the neighbors are using heavy machinery, but we just keep going. It’s a gritty place to work, but there’s a lot of history in these streets. We know the other dealers nearby, and we’ve been part of this metal market for a long time. It’s just about getting the alloys out to the customers and making sure the billing is right. We don't worry about the polish, just the metal.
