Our workshop is tucked away at D-19 in the Ansa Industrial Estate. If you know Sakivihar Road, you know how hectic Sakinaka can get with all the traffic and people moving about. Maharashtra Metal Works Pvt. Ltd. has been operating from this same spot for years. We do a lot of cutting, bending, and shaping metal every single day. It’s noisy and there's always a bit of dust in the air, but we’re used to it. The machines have been with us for a long time and they still run fine if you treat them right. We aren't a massive factory, just a group of people who know how to handle steel and other materials. Sometimes the orders are big, other times it’s just someone needing a small part fixed. We take what comes. Lunch breaks are usually spent sitting around the estate talking to the neighbors. It’s a tight space here at Sakinaka, so we have to be smart about where we put the raw materials. We don't have a big office or anything. Most of the business happens right on the shop floor where the work is actually being done. If a machine breaks down, we fix it ourselves and keep moving. It is hard work, especially when it’s hot outside, but we take pride in just getting the job done. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the years, but our little corner in Ansa stays pretty much the same. It's just simple metalwork done by hand and machine.
