We operate Maharashtra Metal Works Pvt Ltd from a spot near Kamani Oil Mill in Chandivali, specifically at Survey No. 16. We share some space near the Pramod Woollen & Silk facility. It’s a real industrial pocket of the city. You can usually hear the sound of metal being cut or shaped before you even step inside our gate. The workshop is a big, open space with high ceilings and plenty of heavy machinery. It is not the cleanest environment, but that’s the nature of working with metal. There are iron filings and grease everywhere, and the floor is always a bit stained. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or office furniture that we don't need. Instead, we put our resources into keeping the cutters and grinders in good shape. Our team is a mix of guys who have been here for decades and some newer faces learning the trade. We deal with a lot of different projects, mostly industrial components that people need for their own machines. It is a busy life, and the heat from the machines can get pretty intense during the middle of the day. We take our lunch breaks together and talk about how to fix whatever machine broke down that morning. It is a practical, no-frills kind of place. We just focus on getting the metal shaped right and shipped out to the customers who are waiting for it.
