You can find Madhu Impex Enterprises on the second floor of the 16-Girnar Society, which is tucked into Chapel Lane right near Akbarali on S.V. Road in Santacruz West. Being on the second floor means we are a bit away from the street noise, but we can still hear the traffic from S.V. Road all day long. Our office isn't very large, and it’s usually piled high with papers, shipping documents, and samples. We spend a lot of time on the phone or on the computer dealing with the logistics of importing and exporting. It’s a lot of back-and-forth with customs and transport agents. Since we are in a society building, we try to keep things quiet for the neighbors, though the delivery guys are always coming up and down the stairs. It’s a practical workspace, not a fancy executive suite. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. Most people who come to see us are business partners or vendors we’ve known for a long time. Santacruz is a busy place, and being near the station and the main road helps us stay connected, even if parking is a nightmare. We just focus on getting the shipments cleared and making sure the paperwork is in order so things don't get stuck at the port. It is a lot of detail work, but we manage it day by day.
