We are based in Kurla, Mumbai. If you've ever been to Kurla, you know it's a very crowded and busy place. Our main business is exporting onions. We spend our days dealing with large amounts of onions, checking their quality and making sure they are packed right. It’s a lot of manual work. The smell of onions is something you just get used to after a while. We’ve been in this trade for a long time and we know the markets well. The prices for onions go up and down every single day, so we have to stay alert. Our office isn't anything special. It’s a small place where we handle all the export documents and billing. It gets dusty and hot, especially when the trucks are being loaded nearby. We spend a lot of time talking to the drivers and the traders. Kurla is a tough neighborhood to work in because of the constant traffic and noise, but it’s the best place for this kind of trade. We don't have a website with fancy pictures or a big marketing team. We just rely on the people we've worked with for years. We buy the onions, we sort them, and we send them out. That is all there is to it. It’s hard work and the hours can be long, but it’s what we know how to do.
