M. M. M. Buxabhoy & Co.

The shop is tucked away on the first floor at 141 Sarang Street. Most people know this area is always busy, with narrow lanes and lots of noise from the street below. We’ve been operating from this spot for a long time now. Getting up those stairs can be a bit of a workout if you’re carrying things, but it’s just part of the day. The shelves are mostly full of stuff we’ve collected over the years, and it can get a little crowded when a few customers show up at once. M. M. M. Buxabhoy & Co. isn't a fancy place with air conditioning or anything like that. It’s just an old-fashioned workspace where we handle what needs to be done. Sometimes the light in the hallway flickers, and the fans make a bit of a clicking sound, but they keep the air moving. We spend a lot of time sorting through inventory or talking to people who walk in looking for specific parts. There’s a lot of paper on the desks and the phone rings pretty often throughout the morning. Usually, we eat our lunch right here behind the counter because there isn’t much space to go elsewhere. It’s a simple setup. We know the neighbors and the delivery guys who come by every afternoon. There’s nothing particularly special about the building, but it’s where we are every day from early morning until the shutters go down. We just keep things moving.
