Aditya Clothing

So this is where Aditya Clothing operates, right in the middle of things at A 2 353 in the Shah & Nahar Industrial Estate. Lower Parel West is a busy place, and being in this estate means there’s never really a quiet moment. We’ve got the same neighbors we’ve had for years, and we all kind of just get on with our work. Some days the humidity makes the fabric feel heavy, and we have to keep the windows open even if the city noise comes pouring in. It’s just how it is. We spend most of our time looking at patterns or checking the stitching on the latest batch of clothes. There isn't much to say about the office itself; it's got chairs, some old desks, and a lot of lighting so we can see what we are doing. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in Mumbai, we just want to get the orders finished and out the door on time. Sometimes the courier guys are late and we have to wait around past our usual time, but that’s part of the routine. We’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the industrial estate by now. It’s a practical place for a business like ours. No frills, just plenty of work to keep everyone busy from morning until the sun goes down over the buildings. It is a lot of effort but we manage to stay on top of the piles of cloth.
