Lokpriya Stores

We are located at Shop No 5 in the Shobha Sadan building, which is in the Villag Bhandup West area. If you are near Bhatia Hospital or the Shailabh part of the neighborhood, you’ve probably walked past us. It’s a small shop but we cram a lot into the space we have. We sell things like notebooks, pens, snacks, and basic household items that people need in a hurry. The shelves are made of old wood and they sag a little under the weight of all the bottles and boxes. We don't have a big neon sign, just the name painted above the door which is starting to fade a bit from the sun. Usually, there is a stack of newspapers near the entrance and a few crates of soda sitting out front. My brother and I take turns sitting at the counter. It’s a good spot to watch the world go by and chat with the regulars who stop in every day. Sometimes we have to move things around to find what someone is looking for because the stock keeps changing. We don't use a computer for our accounts, just a thick red diary where we write everything down at the end of the day. It’s a bit dusty because of the construction work nearby, but we try to keep things as clean as possible. It is just a regular store for regular people and we like it that way because that is what works.
