L&T General Insurance Company Limited

Working here at L&T General Insurance Company Limited means heading over to Plot No. 177 in Kalina. We are up on the 6th floor of the City 2 building, which is right by the CST Road. It’s a bit of a walk from the Bandra Kurla Telephone Exchange if you’re coming by foot, and the traffic around Santacruz East can be a real headache during the morning rush. The office itself is pretty large, filled with rows of desks and a lot of computers clicking away. You can see a fair bit of the city from the windows up here, though mostly it’s just more rooftops and the tops of cars stuck in traffic. We spend most of our time dealing with piles of paperwork and phone calls that never seem to end. It’s a busy atmosphere, not much quiet time unless you count the lunch break when a few of us head down to find some food near the entrance. The elevators can be slow when everyone is trying to leave at five, so sometimes it's faster to just wait around for a bit. It’s a standard office setup, nothing too wild. We have those blue carpets and the fluorescent lights that hum a little if you listen closely. It’s just where we spend our eight hours before heading back into the Kalina traffic to go home in the evening.
