Laalji Devkaran & Co

Laalji Devkaran & Co has been operating out of Devkaran Niwas on Samuel Street for quite a long time. Our office is on the first floor. It’s an old building with a lot of history, and you can feel that when you walk up the stairs. The rooms have high ceilings and a lot of old wooden furniture that’s been here since the start. Samuel Street is always full of activity, with carts and trucks moving goods all day long. We fit right into that atmosphere. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy reports. We just handle our daily business as it comes in. Most of the people working here have been with us for years, so we all know how things are supposed to run. It can be a bit loud outside with the street noise, but we don’t mind it much. It’s just part of being in this area. We focus on the things that matter, like getting the numbers right and talking to our regular visitors. There aren't any big signs or flashing lights to show you the way. You just find the entrance to Devkaran Niwas and come up to the first floor. It’s a traditional way of working, I suppose. We don't see any reason to change it if it still works for us. We just keep things moving and stay busy every single day without making a big fuss about anything.
